Cancellations
In the case a booking or individual visit needs to be cancelled, please reach out as soon as possible.
Currently, there are no fees related to cancellations.
Refunds will be made to the original form of payment. Clients may also opt to put funds towards a future booking.
Visit Updates
Pet updates will be provided after each scheduled visit unless otherwise requested. These updates will include a detailed summary and photos, and may also include video.
Please note: during busy periods, updates may not be sent immediately after a visit but will be provided within 12 hours. If this occurs, I will send a brief message letting you know that the visit went as planned and that a full summary will follow.
Care Walkthrough
New clients are required to book and complete a home walkthrough prior to the first scheduled visit of a booking. The purpose of this visit is to meet the pet(s), learn the location of supplies necessary for their care, and for key pickup if necessary.
For current clients, if there has been a major change in the method of care (i.e. medications, etc.), a supplementary walkthrough may be scheduled prior to a booking.
Any walkthroughs will be free of charge.
Pet Health
For the health and safety of all pets in my care, I require that all pets are current on vaccinations and free from contagious illnesses, fleas, or ticks.
Medications
Administering medications is always included in any booking for no extra fee.
Please note: visitation time slots may be given priority to cats on strict medication schedules.
You will be notified in advance if this were to occur.
Additional Tasks
I am always happy to attend to any additional tasks including, but not limited to:
- Trash pickup
- Plant watering
- Mail retrieval
- Care for fish, reptiles, and/or other small animals
These tasks will be done at no extra cost as long as the task does not cause any visit to greatly exceed the scheduled timeframe.
Home access
For regular clients, consistent home entry is required to ensure timely access for future visits. In some cases, this may require keeping a set of keys on file.
Parking
In the case that paid parking is required for a visit, clients will be responsible for this cost and will be informed in advance.
Emergencies
All clients are required to complete a Veterinary Release Form to ensure the necessary steps can be taken in the event of an emergency.
To download and submit the form, please click here.
In the unlikely event I am unable to complete a scheduled visit due to illness or personal emergency, I will make every effort to notify you and, if possible, arrange for a trusted backup sitter (with your approval).
Inclement Weather
In the event of extreme weather (e.g., snowstorms, ice, severe thunderstorms, or extreme heat/cold), visits may be delayed or rescheduled to ensure the safety of both your pet(s) and myself. If weather conditions make travel unsafe, I will communicate with you promptly to discuss options.
Liability
All reasonable care will be taken to ensure the safety of your pet(s) and your home. However, I am not financially responsible for accidental injury, illness, or damage, except in cases of direct negligence on my part.
